Winnellie Hydraulics was asked by mining major, Rio Tinto, to assist in the selection of hydraulic torque tooling, as well as various industrial clinders and hand pumps to be utilised in the various applications across Rio Tinto’s operations.

We worked closely with both the fixed plant and mobile workshops to better understand the types of applications for which the torque tools would be utilised. From here, we put forward our recommendations for site tooling, keeping in mind our client’s requirements, timeline and budget.

We followed the supply closely with a site visit to conduct site training to ensure all operators were familiar with the safe operation of 10,000 psi hydraulic torque tools.
