Winnellie Hydraulics is delighted to welcome Newmont Corporation, the major international mining company, as a client. Winnellie Hydraulics supplied a customised robust ‘mining toolbox’ to meet the tough maintenance demands of the underground gold mining environment.
Newmont is one of the largest gold mining companies in the world and operates the Tanami and Boddington gold mines in Australia. Gold mining is a highly mechanised operation with demanding maintenance and hydraulic needs. Winnellie Hydraulics, in consultations with Newmont engineers and operators, provided a customised ‘mining toolbox’ to satisfy Newmont’s need for increased mobility, high durability, and critical spares carrying capacity for hydraulic maintenance.
The Enerpac Mining Tool Chests include heavy duty, puncture proof and lockable swivel wheels, fuel and oil spill kit, and a custom-made housing plate for the transportation and storage of cylinders and pump. LED lights are fitted in the boxes to increase visibility in the underground workshops. All items and accessories satisfy the Australian testing, manufacturing and quality standards, and are suitable for use in the DBS Underground Mining Workshop.
